Lynn Mehta

The paintings Lynn Mehta creates are the art of Impressionism. It is important for her to give the surprise of discovery when looking closely at her paintings and then stepping back, allowing room for imagination. Lynn holds a B.A. in Art from San Diego State University and has studied with internationally acclaimed artists in the US and abroad. In May 2016, she completed an artist residency in Acadia National park. Since Lynn began competing and exhibiting as a full-time professional in 2008, she has received over 60 awards. She has been the Featured Artist in Plein Air Magazine and Capitol Hill Rag and she is included in the publication 100 Plein Air Painters of the Mid-Atlantic. Lynn is juried into Oil Painters of America, Salmagundi Club in New York City, and the Washington Society of Landscape Artists. Lynn was recently awarded Signature Membership in the American Society of Marine Artists and is a patek philippe nautilus replica Fellow in the American Artists Professional League in New York City. With representation in numerous national galleries, Lynn’s work is found in private and public collections in the United States, France, and England.

Class Description:

In this class we will spend time creating and focusing on how to develop beautiful paintings. Any style or medium is welcome. All levels.

Choose to paint from the day’s still-life arrangement, photographs of landscapes, cityscapes, people, etc. Or, bring in something you are currently working on.

Lynn will give demos and offer personal critiques tailored to your individual needs.
