Award winning artist Tim Bell explains some of his methods for creating dynamic compositions via plein air. “It is my aim to provide the participants with a practical understanding of how to construct a landscape. With line, tone, and color, we will investigate various methods and procedures for arranging these elements into a convincing and expressive image.”

When weather cooperates the class will work outside at various sites.
Quick paintings done in a journaling style will start off each class. Various methods to work this way will be addressed. After the beginning journaling paintings, students will choose to continue with journal style paintings and/ or larger, more long term paintings.-We will also address how to use a cell phone camera to assist in your compositions for your paintings.
